In St. Petersburg will be the program of development of business tourism.
As said the chairman of the Tourism Development Committee Andrei Mushkarev, by 2020 the number of annual congress events will increase to 85, and the number of business tourists visiting St. Petersburg - to 1.3 million people.
According to statistics our city annually holds about 180 exhibitions and 115 congress events.
According to preliminary estimates of relevant experts, in 2016 the volume of business tourism in Russia reached 716 billion rubles, while in 2015 this figure was 670 billion, and in 2014 - 531.6 billion.
Experts believe: to win the right to hold business event can only offer the best value for money services.
In this regard St. Petersburg has several advantages: rich possibilities for cultural and business events, good transport accessibility and infrastructure.
